Meteor

Hope you don't mind if I drop in for a minute to say hi.
I know you folks get a kick out of seeing me streak across the evening sky. I just want to remind you that I am also part of Creation. In fact, if I can pat myself on the back for moment, I was created before there were any fish or birds. Heck, I was here long before you guys showed up, not that anyone's counting. Don't believe me? Take a look at the Fourth Day of Creation. You'll notice that you all didn't come on the scene until the Sixth Day.
Some of you call me a shooting star and that's okay.
I, myself, hitched a ride on a gigantic comet back in the year – hmm, forgot when it was. But it was a really long time ago. In fact, I remember looking down at your young planet and to tell you the truth, there wasn't much to see. There weren't any cities or roads. There weren't even any dinosaurs. But, there was something awfully pretty about the blue and white colors swirling around. I though, "What the heck, this is an awfully pretty place to spend some time." Next thing I knew, I was really attracted to the Earth – I mean like I got stuck in the gravity force. I don't know if you've ever been stuck in a gravity force but let me tell you, it's a one way ticket.
Next trip I make, I hope you come out to welcome me. You know how it is when you visit a new place, feel a little anxious, don't
know the native lingo, not sure where the best eating places are. Looking forward to seeing you and hope I don't fall on your head.
