Maple Trees

Ahhh, nothing like a warm day to get the juices flowing. It's such an honor to be the sponsor of the Jewish Nature Center.  I think these folks are doing a fine, fine job of helping people have fun in nature. Why, just the other day Gabe and a few students tapped into my cousin, Vincent.  I know it sounds horrible – drilling a hole through the bark and putting a little tube into it.  Well, fret not.  It actually tickles a little bit and we maple trees don't get tickled that often.  Vince was so tickled that he gave a couple buckets of sap Gabe boiled down into maple syrup.

By the way, I've been on the lookout for great, grand-daddy Herman ever since he disappeared back in the 70s.  Word has it that he's a mighty dapper looking dining room table.  If you happen to be sitting with him, would you tell him that his great grandson Ben is looking for him.

I suppose it's still necessary to remind you that you folk want so many things made from trees that a lot of us are disappearing. Did you know it takes 500,000 trees each week just to make the Sunday edition of newspapers across the country? I've read a few of these fat fellows and believe me, they're not worth it.
