Green Tea

Tea drinking has become a very popular practice in the United States – hot tea in the winter and iced tea in the summer.  We consume more summer ice tea than most of Europe combined.  Green tea is a healthy alternative to regular cafinne  teas.  Gree tea (Camellia sinensis), once the domain of the Far East, has come to the United Staes and is now being accepted by the medical profession of the Western World as a very healthy alternative.

Green tea is filled with extremely powerful antioxidants which help protect against such health concerns as cancer and heart disease.  It does contain varying amounts of caffeine, depending on where it comes from but the caffeine is released more slowly than with coffee or regular tea. You won't experience the caffeine "let down" that comes with regular coffee drinking.  In effect, green tea will give you everything you want from coffee but without the negative side effects.
