Planting Flower Bulbs
Fall is the time of year to plant your flower bulbs for next spring.
The problem is that squirrels love to eat newly planted bulbs. And, they seem to know exactly when you put them in the ground. Rather than resort to strange traps, rap music or other unusual means of preventing squirrels from feasting on your bulbs, try this instead. Purchase large pieces of metal-screening (the kind used on windows) and lay a piece on top of the ground covering each of your newly planted bulbs. Weigh down the screen with rocks and dirt. Leave this in place until next spring when you can safely remove without worry.
