Clay Shabbat Candle Holders
Work with lumps of clay about the size of an apple. Divide the lump in half and roll each half into a coil about 6 inches long. Take a
pipe cleaner or piece of wire and twist it around a Shabbat candle starting at the bottom and spiraling toward the top of the candle. Take you clay coil and wrap it around the wire. You now have two
spiral, clay candle holders.
You can also divide the clay into three parts and form three coils. Braid as you would a challah and press your Shabbat candle into the center for
